Details: In Oktoberfest, the players are artisanal brewmasters supplying the annual festival with the most popular types of beer. Gampelay proceeds over 3 rounds: morning, afternoon and evening of the festival. On each player's turn, they can either start a once around auction of available supply cards, sell one of their barrel cards or close a tent. While a player only has 3 possible actions to choose on their turn, the choices are not simple. Several clever mechanics in the game require the players to constantly hone their strategies. The closed system of money means the players must carefully choose which auctions are important to their strategy. Similarly, deciding to close a tent is a tense decision since all players contribute patrons to different tents. The busiest tent closes, and only the players who have supplied the most popular beers there will receive victory points. After the tenth tent has been closed the player with the most points is the winner. You can't just make the best beer, you've to get it in their mouths!
