Sales Tax:
Sales Tax is currently collected for GST/HST, BC, and Quebec, but SK and MB are not, at this time. As that business grows, those could be added.
Shipping service level:
Orders received will be processed within 3 business days. During days where there is a lot of demand, such as holiday shopping, there could be further delays. We appreciate your patience and always suggest that you place orders early with that in mind.
At the present time, we are only enabling standard shipping. In the future, we may extend our offering to include express shipping.
Our shipping charges are based on the costs we incur for fulfillment including freight costs. We try to provide some incentives that makes it possible to pass on some additional savings for larger order. Some of our pricing does include item based costs to reduce the total shipping charges, but that helps to keep all of the pricing fair and reasonable. As this business evolves, we will look at further ways to improve those charges to provide better value.
Pricing protection/price matching:
We reserve the right to cancel orders that are incorrectly priced. After the pricing is corrected, you are welcome to place a new order. Technology and human nature has its limits, so we will operate fairly and reasonably, but there are times when dumb things happen and we will address them quickly and fairly. If you do encounter a price that is substantially different, we will check to determine if we made a mistake that we can correct. At the same time, there are competitors who don't price fairly and may set clearance prices for some products that we can not match. That will happen on this site less than our regular site. Note that we will not normally plan to match large online discount sites, mass market stores, and unusual clearance sales.
Raincheck:
We will not be able to guarantee availability or pricing for out of stock items. Many of the items we sell on this site are limited availability, so once gone, might be a very long time before restock and possibly never.
Authority to sell certain brands:
We have relationships with the publishers for the brands we carry either directly or through authorized distributors. That could limit our ability to sell outside Canada, to other retailers, or even to certain parties located in specific locations or via certain sales channels (such as Amazon or eBay marketplaces).
New product requests:
We are interested in your input regarding products you would like to see. In some cases, we may need to re-direct you to Boardgames4us, which is our primary sales channel for new, upcoming, preorder, and generally available products. The focus for this site is products that won't be available from our main site.
Returns and Refunds:
Our normal return deadline is 2 weeks after the order is delivered. The only exception is orders between November 1 and Christmas (December 25) which increases the deadline to January 8. Items that are damaged or defective will need to be returned within 1 week of delivery with notification provided to us within 2 business days. Where possible, we will try to send a replacement. Refunds or replacements will not occur until we have received the original item that was shipped and have inspected the item. Where an incorrect item is received instead, we can reship the item back to you, at your expense. Return shipments will need to be sent to us within 1 week of the request for the return. Shipments will need to have tracking included and will be expected to arrive within 2 weeks of being shipped. Care in properly packing the item in the original shipping box is essential. Where items are shipped without the boxes, inadequately packed in the boxes which results in damage to the item, the refund will be reduced or eliminated, based on the sellable value of the item.
Purchase orders and credit:
At this time, we are unable to accept purchase orders or allow for delayed payment. All purchases must be paid for using credit card or debit cards at the time of purchase. There are no exceptions.
International sales:
As a Canadian company using a Canadian fulfillment service, international shipping is not currently available. The costs related to tariffs, brokerage fees, freight along with the impact for similar costs for returns makes it infeasible to provide that service. Additionally, many of the brands we carry have explicit restrictions requiring that all orders are only shipped to Canadian addresses. The only option that we can suggest is the use of a parcel forwarding service that would accept deliveries in Canada and then transport to a destination in most countries where domestic shipping would occur. All fees related to international imports would be the responsibility of the customer. All return shipping arrangements would be the responsibility of the customer and any charges that we would need to pay would be deducted from any refunds. The challenges of these, at this time, make it not not acceptable to accept foreign destinations for orders from our store.
